On May 23rd, we had the pleasure of holding a special session class at the Politecnico di Milano, led by our Head of Engineering, Paola Darò, as part of the MSc and BSc courses 'NEW SENSORS AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING' and 'STRUCTURAL MONITORING' held by Professor Alfredo Cigada (Department of Mechanical Engineering).
During the session, Paola engaged engineering students in a deep dive into the world of structural monitoring, from the fundamentals of designing effective monitoring systems, to key takeaways from real-world case studies we've worked on at Sacertis.
Through practical insights and an open exchange of ideas, we highlighted the importance of monitoring in ensuring the safety, durability, and sustainability of structures.
